This is a catch-all contact post for Zelos Wilder/Kaneis Major in warforged. Please put the style of contact (in-person, mail, scrying, messenger pigeons - whatever) and/or location in the subject line!
[Okay so the guy was a bit weird, she was willing to give him that. A freak-out like that and punching Mar? It seemed a little...unusual. She'd done a few things similar in her youth and it usually the result of an underlying issue. She didn't expect him to open up about it but she is going to check up on him.]
[After the talks were all done, Zelos did the best he could to give himself space to calm down. He...hated having outbursts like that, he must have seemed insane to everyone around. He much preferred being in control and not letting any of his emotions showed.]
[Though unfortunately, sometimes that's hard to do when you're a screwed up 23 year old crazy person]
[But Valamia will find him sitting by the edge of the lake, his arms wrapped around his knees. His composure is back, for the most part, and he looks up at her]
Huh?
Oh...yeah. Sorry, didn't mean to lose my cool like that. That guy's seriously annoying.
[She'll take that second to sit down, curl her tail around her and get a bit comfortable. Ah, the old joints have not been enjoying all of this outdoor sleeping.]
I'm not great with people who are as...open and oblivious as he is. He is horrible at first impressions, doesn't think at all about what someone can find offensive and clearly isn't great at understanding how important life is.
[That and of all the Horde races, blood elves and undead were not people she wanted to talk to.]
All in all, I'm surprised I didn't punch him within the first ten minutes of talking to him.
You have no idea. Tallir and I were always in trouble when we were kids.
[But she cannot be anything but fond about him. Her dear old silly brother.]
It happens. We're not exactly in a great situation, all things considered. I mean...who wants to get dragged into a war that they're not part of and deal with all of this? [She'll chuckle.] At least it was just a punch and not a mace or sword to someone.
[Luke has been trying to branch out a bit. Even in a place like the Ruby Sanctum, he can't stand being stuck in one place the whole time.
So here he is, wandering Silverglen with a basket. Looks like he's been picking berries. Because that's better than trying to do a drop bear impression on the stags.]
[Zelos meanwhile has been distant for awhile. He doesn't spend nearly as much time anymore in Ruby Sanctum, and yet it doesn't seem like he's been bringing back more stuff to explain it.]
[But he happened to be in Silverglen that day, trading some herbs he found that he knows can be at least used for some medicines. When he hears the familiar footsteps coming, he'll finish his trade and turn to greet the other redhead]
Living here? [He snorts. He knows the elves would never like that idea, even if it name had been cleared] Nah, I'm still at the Sanctum. Why? Have I been gone that much?
[Luke is still frowning, but he seems to have relented somewhat.]
I'm just... worried. You haven't been around, and you never eat with the rest of us. I know you're not really big on the social thing-- I mean, I get nervous around crowds too-- but it just happened all of a sudden.
[Oh why hello. Hope he doesn't mind a frustrated Draenei coming up to him and grabbing onto his ear and giving it a light pull. She's happy to see him. Really.]
One thing! I tell you not to mention one thing to Vastania and you did. It isn't a matter of who brings it up it's a matter of being political savvy enough not to make a mess of everything.
[She's really considering pulling his ear again. She won't but it is so very tempting.]
No but if one of you would have been a damn adult and stopped sitting there arguing like a bunch of orcs we could have ended that whole talk sooner as opposed to later.
[She'll let go of his ear.]
Vastania is young and she was trained by people my age, people blinded by the Light and who would consider you an undead abomination. It doesn't make it right nor does it excuse her words. It's...complicated.
[The moment his ear is free, he immediately steps away from her and crosses his arms over his chest. His eyes are cold as he looks back at her. He was already upset from the talk in the circle, and this is not helping]
That's her problem, not mine. If she was more willing to try to change, I'd be more willing to give her a chance. But she made it clear she's not.
how about later in the evening after punching Mar
Hey, doing a little better?
sounds good

woohoo~
I know. I've been tempted to punch him myself but for a few different reasons. Mind if I join you for a bit?
[She isn't going to be quite so bold as to just sit around and make sure he's okay. At least not now.]
no subject
[He had no reason to say no. It would only make him obvious too. But he looks slightly amused about that]
Yeah? What reasons are those?
no subject

Heh...yeah, I'm noticing that. Maybe he's got some kind of brain damage or something.
[He moves to rub the back of his neck]
Though if he does, I probably didn't help with that.
no subject
There are just some people like that naturally. I had a brother who had a few of those traits, not all of them but a few.
I wouldn't worry too much. Hardheaded people like him can usually handle it.
no subject
[Or so he can guess, considering he's the brother that seems to give nothing but grief to his sister]
Guess so. [He shifts a little] I usually don't lose my cool like that, really.

Luke, hey. Didn't realize you'd be here.
no subject
Kaneis! It's... been a while. [His smile fades somewhat, eyebrows narrowing.] Are you living here? In the village?
[.... Do you wanna get kidnapped?????]

Obviously, or else I wouldn't be asking.

Oh, well...guess I had't kept track of time so well.
[he rubs his head a little] Didn't mean to worry you or anything by it.

the evening after that redsworn meeting
So care to explain what you were doing in there?
no subject
Ow ow ow! My ear!
[Have some flailing]
What do you mean?!
no subject
Did you forget? The one thing I said you shouldn't mention that you happen to blurt out...now what could I be talking about?
no subject
[But she's much bigger than him, and he really likes his ear, so he abstains]
What? You mean the whole dead thing? I didn't bring the topic up- Mar did!
no subject
[She's really considering pulling his ear again. She won't but it is so very tempting.]
no subject
[Seriously?]
What, would you have preferred I had just stood quietly and let her go on about how she thinks I'm not a person?!
no subject
[She'll let go of his ear.]
