You have no idea. Tallir and I were always in trouble when we were kids.

[But she cannot be anything but fond about him. Her dear old silly brother.]

It happens. We're not exactly in a great situation, all things considered. I mean...who wants to get dragged into a war that they're not part of and deal with all of this? [She'll chuckle.] At least it was just a punch and not a mace or sword to someone.

[wilder]

I can imagine.

[that's the sorta stuff kids did, right? Even his sister....okay, maybe he just shouldn't think about that right now]

Heh...no, I still know not to turn that stuff on your allies. [So far. But at that remark about the situation, he gives a small "heh"] ...I just don't like hearing that kind of reasoning. It's...screwed up a lot of things for me. Stuff I'll never be able to fix.

[stormcalling]

[She could almost go on a ramble about silly stories between her and Tallir but she'll wait until there's a better time.]

You know, I don't think anyone would hold your actions against you. [Not with everything they're all dealing with.] It's not easy, life and mistakes. We all make them, we all have regrets and no one wants to talk about it because we don't like exposing ourselves. When someone acts in a way that reminds of us how it was before...it hurts.

[She takes a small pause and sighs.] Sometimes we react before we think in that situation. Sometimes it's hard not to react.

[wilder]

[he considers that. ]

....I guess so. But I'm supposed to be an adult, you know? And you know, not hit people when I lose my cool?

[He considers] Then again, Sheena's always doing that- maybe I hung around her too much.

[stormcalling]

Maybe. I can assure you that being an adult doesn't always consist of being polite and in control of yourself all the time.

Trust me, twenty-thousand some years later and there are plenty of people who still lose their cool and have punched someone in the face. I've done it within the past century.

[wilder]

[Oh okay that's a poin--- WAITAMINUTE]

- Hold up! Twenty-thousand?!

[stormcalling]

[She's going to look at him with a grin. That reaction is priceless.]

Yeah. There's a few Draenei around who are twenty thousand or older. ...I think I'm closer to thirty than twenty though. Hm...

[wilder]

What?? That's-

[DA FUQ]

How's that even possible?! The oldest people I know are four thousand! And that's really old!

[stormcalling]

[She's going to start laughing. Give her a minute. Okay. Okay. She's done laughing.]

We've always been a long-lived race. Not all of us live to see these ages but if allowed, we'll live well past my age. Oh and yes, I am aware that does make me pretty old.

[wilder]

Jeez-!

[If he was the sort, he'd blush at the laughter. But oh well, he's used to being over the top and getting reaction]

I can't even imagine that! What do you even do with all that time- take up a thousand hobbies?

[stormcalling]

[It's okay. The reaction is always enough. If she didn't love watching people react to her age, she wouldn't tell them.]

It depends. On worlds we tried to establish life and settle in, didn't get to stay and on the ship we rotated our people in and out of cryostasis. Personally I spent my time being a Peacekeeper, looking after my little sister or bothering my husband at the time. It kept a person occupied.

[wilder]

Cryostasis?

[Da fuq is that he ain't from one of your fancy space traveling canons]

A Peacekeeper? You mean like a guard or something? Or did your family just fight that much?

[stormcalling]

[Get with the times, man. Cryostsis for years, decades even!!! ]

It's a sort of hibernation. Space travel would drive everyone insane otherwise. As for being a Peacekeeper, you're right. It's a sort of guard. Defender of the people and meant to keep people from being too uncivil. It was...interesting. I can tell you plenty of times things went past the punching someone in the face marker.

[wilder]

So....it's a really long nap so you don't go crazy?

[Huh. Weird. But he guesses that's what the Summon Spirits do. Too bad that's not really a thing for angels]

I can imagine. I was familiar with the knights and guards back in my hometown. Lot of weird stories.

[stormcalling]

Yep. I mean...even a person you love with all your heart can get on your nerves sometimes. The stasis helped keep couples or families from wanting to constantly punch each other in frustration or far worse.

Now imagine all of those people who are weird in their stories being around my age. Adults, we're all pretty weird. No age is going to stop or change the levels of weird either.

[wilder]

Ha, good point. When you put it that way, I kinda wish I got a hibernation from time to time.

[Nevermind he mostly just seems to sleep in the Sanctum]

Really? Even after, like, ten thousand years or something- people don't learn that they'll get in trouble if they go around without pants or claim their some...holy messiah or whatever?

[stormcalling]

I think it does help keep everyone a little more sane. It doesn't stop stupidity but every little bit helps in keeping the majority sane.

[She's going to smile and try very hard not to chuckle. ...Alright she's good.]

No, not all the time. I remember one time before I retired there was this couple. Young couple, not yet married but I think they did get married a few centuries later...they got into a fight. One stormed off to go calm down and the other decided to have a drink or five. ...You know I'm guessing you can figure out how well that ended for everyone.

[wilder]

Yeah, I bet.

[he listens to the story. There's a small smile despite himself.]

Drunken serenading or fights?

[stormcalling]

I hear they started a drunken fight. A few strings of curses too but by the time I got there they had collapsed onto the ground and were laying there, making jokes about their fight and laughing. I had few situations where I was that confused and didn't know what to do. We ended up helping them get back to their place and reminding them that they should watch the alcohol consumption, watch their volume...and try not to punch each other too much.

[wilder]

[He snickers a little, that sort of relationship is familiar with him]

Heh, they probably just had to get it out of them. Some people are like that!

[stormcalling]

[It's almost the story of her life with her husband as well. Ah, relationships.]

I think everyone is like that at some point. Who doesn't get frustrated with people at some point? No ones patience and tolerance lasts forever.

[wilder]

[he could remark about that from his own life, but...]

Yeah? You sure? You're not just trying to say you got a short fuse yourself, are you?

[stormcalling]

Me? [She'll do her best to mock being offended It only lasts for a few seconds before she shrugs.]

I think that it's shorter than you'd expect for someone my age. The bad news is that I break the idea that some people have of the old, wise and patient person. The good news is that I don't feel the need to blast anyone with lightning.

[wilder]

Oh, don't worry. All the old people I know are the opposite of that, so I never got that idea in my head. [Stupid, impatient jerkwads is more fitting for them]

[A weak, dry, laugh] Oh yeah, that is good news. I feel very comforted.

[stormcalling]

Really? When we landed on Azeroth most people seemed to think that older people were supposed to be wise, guiding people. Help the younger generation out and such.

[Sorry Zelos. She's going to laugh again.] You know, I think you look a little less like someone who wants to sulk and be ashamed. I'd say that's an improvement.
