[oh boy did she see Zelos' response to that post. And she feels terrible because Zelos is someone who was kind to her and someone she worked with and—yeah. She's contacting him here, because she can't send private messages on the network or anywhere else, but this, at least, will help]

[Early Christmas morning, Allen's leaving a plain, unwrapped box somewhere outside Kaneis's room, in a place he'll easily find it. There's a small note attached that reads

"Merry Christmas, Kaneis
-Allen & Tim"

Inside is a book of 34th century brainteasers (a la Sudoku), a mysterious braided bracelet with his (fake) initial on it..., and a tiny red and green knit sweater possibly intended for an animal about Curry's size.]

[ the white box kaneis receives is fairly small.

it's white and rectangular, tied off with a slate grey ribbon and bow; inside, there sits a polished oak box.

there's not much 'regular' about it; it's carved with simplicity, sure, but there's also strange arcs to it, and what may be doves or some other type of bird adorned on the edges. in the middle, of course, is K.M., for kaneis major.

the box isn't empty, however.

inside the wooden chest are two books, both paperback; one is murder on the orient express and the other is dracula--both have very little in common save for the fact that they're both classics.

don't think he didn't hear that bit about needing a book to read.

[At some point today Kaneis will find a little gift bag near his front door. Inside this bag there is a box of pudding cups and a long, flat box wrapped in turquoise paper. Inside the box is a pen that looks like a syringe, because Lea is ten years old.]

it releases a sweet fragrance, the bud only just beginning to open. dropped inside it is a little yellow ball, an earring perhaps, made mostly of gold. ]

[At some point between the beginning of the 24th and the end of the 25th, Christopher delivers (handed off in person or left at a doorstep) a Christmas gift: a flamethrower. It is given with all the best Christmas wishes from a person who may not always like Kaneis but who did notice that reaction to snow.]

Christmas Day

[ Some time on Christmas, there will be a medal with a red ribbon hanging off the knob of the door to Kaneis' room. It looks handmade and has quite a bit of imperfections. Like the medal isn't perfectly round or it doesn't have enough coats of paint. It seems like Sophie tried her best though.

In glitter paint and shaky letters, the medal reads: #1 Roommate.

...Kaneis might also eventually find out that she gave a similar present to Allen. Except his has a white ribbon. YOU ARE BOTH #1 ROOMMATES. Or you can fight to the death for that ranking. ]

CHRISTMAS DAY

[In perfect pink wrapping paper with gold ribbon are two presents, tagged simply 'To Kaneis, from Sheena'.

The first, a bigger and flatter box, contains battle-ready arm-length black gloves with small fastenings up the sides.

The second, a much smaller box, is a simple gold chain of decent length.]
