[He shakes his head.] I mean I sort of do...I woke up down there, I think one of the fairies spoke to me and gave me my powers and then I fell asleep and rolled into the lake.

How I got there, I don't know. [It's still fuzzy.] But I was down there at least a week. [Basically the story is that Ryan being a curious stupid child started wandering, started getting tired, found himself at the lake in the ruins, passed out in a corner where nobody would notice him, woke up when the fairy offered him his powers, fell asleep again for a short time and then when he tried to get up he ended up plunging deep into the lake.]

Trust me. I definitely woke up as soon as I realized I was sinking.

Zelos I can breathe underwater. [And now comes the part where he's freaking out a tiny bit.] I don't even know how I asked for that to happen, but it did.

[A beat. And then...] I think I went home, too.

And that's impressive! I don't even know any water mages who can do that.

[And wait, what?]

You know, I thought of that. I thought that maybe that might have been it. But...no, don't think so. Remember that performing arts school I told you about? [Fill in the blanks. Go on.]

You mean that really elite one? What about it?

I got in. [If the anime sweatdrop was nearly visible on Zelos, let's talk about the sparkles that're practically appearing all around Ryan suddenly.] That's how I know I went back.

Thanks. [He's pretty damn proud of himself, but after being in New York and at school for a few months now he's a little more gracious about it. But it's exactly why he's bringing it up now.

Actually? Kelsi and I both got in...the Juilliard representatives made an exception because they couldn't pick which one of us should receive the scholarship. So...it was weird. I was here and then suddenly I lived out at least five months back there. I didn't think that was possible and now the water powers and I'm sort of wondering why.

[And you know about magic and artes, bro. So. He's not expecting an answer but since Zelos is here it's nice to just bounce the thoughts off of for the time being.]

Hey, that's great! You won't be alone! How's your sister feel about all this?

[And yeah. That's a good question of why - since he hadn't heard anything about people being able to go home. In fact, it was the exact opposite. So he strokes his chin a little as he thinks]

Hey, where are you at? I wanna test something.

Ehhhh. Sharpay's Sharpay. [That is to say that things are a little questionable.] She seemed pretty okay with it when we found out though. [And because they're not here...] ...truthfully? I'd rather spend the next four years with Kelsi anyway. Shar's my other half but that's just it. We're twins. I'm going to have to spend the rest of my life with her and Kelsi's...Kelsi's just really special. It sort of fell into place with us spending the whole year together and our last semester of high school working on the show together and prom and graduation. It just made sense that we'd be together.

[But enough about that. He looks up and around at his surroundings.]

I was making my way out of the ruins. [Which is totally why he sat down to call Zelos instead. Yup.] I can meet you somewhere else though.

Heh. That's cute. [Ah young love. Or something like that.] I'm glad everything worked out for ya.

[He gives a wave of his hand]

It's fine, I can meet you out there. Gotta exercise sometime. [Though it's really more he just doesn't want you to get his stuff wet] I'll be out there in five.

[And who's totally oblivious to whatever Zelos is thinking? This guy. So no, that smile on his face really isn't helping him in this case.] Yeah. Me too. Now I've just gotta wait to go back.

[At Zelos's suggestion though he just nods and it's pretty apparent he didn't have a desire to move in the first place. He's just making himself comfortable, locket dangling in front of his face.] Cool. See you in a bit.

Heh. Yeah. [He won't comment on getting back. That shit's just too optimistic for Zelos Wilder to be expressing.]

[So instead he cuts the feed and starts heading to the ruins. Sure enough, about five minutes later Ryan can probably spot that bright red hair as he strolls towards him]

Hey.

[What do you expect from a Disney kid?

By the time Zelos finds him, Ryan's just seated in a patch of sunlight even though he's still pretty much dripping wet. He's busy creating little balls of water with his hands, but they're no longer baseball-sized. They're about the size of ping-pong balls and it's pretty evident that the baseball was, in fact, just a fluke. He still has a lot of practice to do.

When he hears the older man though he just tilts his head back to see him.]

What, did you run here? [It's teasing, of course, but bro that was a lot faster than he expected. Either that or Ryan just wasn't paying attention which is also likely.]

[He simply smirks]

I think I'll keep ya guessing on that.

[He probably just moved at a fast pace BUT WHO KNOWS. But he crosses his arms, looking mildly amused]

So are you always gonna be wet, or do you just keep drenching yourself?

I...may or may not have dove back in the lake just to see if I could still breathe underwater. [Why wouldn't he? You're tempting a kid who's never had any kind of exposure to magic, of course he's going to play with it as much as possible.] I'm starting to wonder if I should start carrying a towel with me everywhere I go.

[He's still on the ground but he's looking up at Zelos.] Am I getting up, or are you sitting down?

[Yeah he's...not even surprised. New magic users man.] Might not be a bad idea, least until you learn how to control it better.

[A gesture for him to get up] Getting up!

I'm one of the most controlled people I know. This shouldn't be bad. [Sort of. He can control himself quite well but right now he's more interested in pushing his new limits.]

[He sighs though, an almost-pout crossing his lips at the idea before he more or less pushes himself up without using his hands in one fluid motion.] You said you wanted to test something, right?

Heh. I'll take your word for it! [He doesn't feel strongly one way or another, but we'll see man]

Mmhmm! [But he doesn't explain exactly what. Instead he starts examining Ryan, circling around him- seeing if there's any physical changes to see like height, weight, hairstyle change. You know, stuff that's bound to change a little over 5 months for a teenager]

[…it doesn't take him long to figure out what Zelos is doing, so he stands still. Five months isn't that long of a time, but the most obvious changes are that his hair's a tiny bit longer (he hasn't cut it since he moved to New York, actually) and he's slimmed down to pretty much nothing but lean muscle. His height's still the same, topping off at about 5'7" but his posture's a little more rigid.

Other than that? Still the same Ryan.]

…I'm not a clone. I promise. [A beat.] I mean I kind of am, but that's sort of the whole point of being a twin.

[He snorts at that remark, but keeps doing what he was doing. But don't worry, soon he'll pull away]

That kinda sucks. Gone five months and you didn't even grow an inch.

But, you're definitely different.

I don't think I'd be nearly as flexible if I were much taller though. [It's cool bro. Just don't ask weird questions like why there's a tiny bit of bruising around his collarbone. No big, really.]

How can you even really tell?

Yeah, you're probably right. [Plz. You actually think Zelos Wilder doesn't know what a hickey is? That's just cute.]

[Also that you think he'll give a straight answer]

Hmm...I have eyes?

[Sac. Ri. Liege. He just rolls his eyes though.]

I have eyes, too, but that doesn't mean I notice anything really different about me. It's only been a few months. Don't be ridiculous.
