[He doesn't exactly have much in the way of date clothes either. It's just the black and blue outfit he's been wearing for casual wear here. Honestly, he's just glad he has clothing that isn't the jumpers.]

[Though okay, he maaay be looking forward to seeing her reaction to his hair. There was a reason he kept communication to voice.]

[So, the shuttle will dock and he will open the hatch - standing in the entry of it]

[Sheena already knows he's okay, but hearing his voice and seeing him there really helps. The last bit of nervousness in her eases, and she can't help a big, bright smile.

Look at that. Someone's actually happy to see him and it's not Colette just beinga puppy. Even with the lightest teasing that comes with being called 'captain', she's still glad. She steps forward.]

Hey--

[Wait.]

[fujibayashi]

[He's missing like. 3/4 of his hair.]

W-what happened to your hair?!

[He was so damn vain about it, even in Exsilium. She actually looks CONCERNED.]

[wilder]

[And theeeere it is. Excellent]

It got cute?

[fujibayashi]

[She laughs in disbelief, and then it's followed by more laughter bubbling up from within. She runs out to throw her arms around him. It's only been like a week since she saw him but she knows it's been much, much longer for Zelos.]

It suits you.

[If he's happy with it, then she is too. More importantly, she can still run her fingers through it-- and that's what she does, all the while standing on her tiptoes to kiss him firmly.]

[There's a second where he freezes in the hug, out of habit. But he relaxes the moment his brain registers it's Sheena and wraps an arm around her waist to balance her and meet that kiss. Goddess, he's missed her]

Ha- I would've cut it sooner if I'd known you'd react like that.

[fujibayashi]

[She tucks her head in his shoulder and holds him for as long as he wants. It's been six months for him or so, hasn't it? He's not-- absolutely great with physical affection, so she lets him figure out what he's comfortable with. She isn't even sure what she wants right now...]

It just surprised me, that's all. You've always been pretty particular about your hair.

[She peers up at him.]

Did something bad happen? Or did you just get sick of it?

[wilder]

[There's a beat, then he decides to be melodramatic as usual]

Well it wasn't an easy decision. But...have you seen what they offer for hair care here? Next to nothing! Cheap shampoos and not even enough of it!

[He sighs]

I couldn't take it anymore. Watching my beloved hair grow all dull and split-ended? It was heartbreaking. I had to put it out of its misery.

[fujibayashi]

[Of course he's being melodramatic about it. Despite herself, she snorts in amusement.]

As long as you don't go crazy and start trying cut mine...

[Sheena's hair is so poofy. She's definitely got split ends.]

[wilder]

[He gives a snort]

Don't worry, I wouldn't even know what to cut. I don't think I've even seen it down before.

[A beat]

Does it come down?

[fujibayashi]

[For certain values of the word.]

Of course it does!

[She glances away and adjusts her ponytail, making sure the kanzashi are in place.]

It gets in the way of fighting, so I usually leave it up.

[She could've braided it and put it up like with that fancy dress she no longer has, but again, she lacks nice clothes at the moment.]

[wilder]

And I suppose you always have to be ready for a fight, hm?

[He's teasing lightly, but he'll let go now so they can actually go to the shuttle]

Don't worry, no haircut today. I always got my thrill out slicing my own hair off- very dramatically too!

[fujibayashi]

At home, yeah. And at Exsilium? Definitely. Here, I... don't know.

[She feels self-conscious about it now. Would he like it better down? Better yet, when did she start caring? Ah, well.]

Dramatically? ... Don't tell me you tried to use a dagger. You know that never works.

[wilder]

... Besides that one attack, it's been pretty peaceful.

[Wow Sheena don't worry he doesn't actually care- even if he kinda curious just how long her hair is. But whatever, he also doesn't know her real name! Just standard things not to know about your girlfriend]

Ahah- I wanted to try it at least once! [So yes. It was with a dagger] I had a professional cut it later!

[fujibayashi]

That's... something. [It's good, she thinks? But being fired on in space by people who just disappear is really not.

She gives him a flat look at that.]

I bet you started whining when you realized what an awful idea that was.

There's an old story in my village about a woman who braided her hair. She broke her foot during a fight, and she was alone, so she cut her hair off and used it to make a splint instead of rope.

It's strong stuff.

Maybe a little...

[Not much though!! But he raises an eyebrow]

...Huh. Are you saying I should've saved my braid?

[fujibayashi]

[She shrugs.]

I doubt you'll ever need to go to those lengths. If you break your leg and you can't heal it with your own magic, you could... I don't know, hover your way to the infirmary and then pretend you limped all the way there.

[She smiles teasingly.]

Or you could beg me to carry you.

[wilder]

[She was expecting indignation but um. That doesn't happen. Now she's blushing. TEASING BACKFIRE.]

W-well, yeah, if I had to.

[TO THE TRASHCAN, MAYBE]

[Sorry Sheena, but if there's one thing Zelos is secure in, it's his masculinity.]

Aw! You really are my knight in shining armor!

[fujibayashi]

[She smacks him in the arm.]

I'm going to slap your mouth right off your face!

[Still doing that years later, apparently.]

[wilder]

- Ow!

You can't say that after you slapped me! And that's my arm, not my face!

[fujibayashi]

[She goes for the back of his head this time.]

Don't talk back!

[ARE THEY EVER GOING TO MAKE IT TO THE KITCHEN AT THIS RATE?]

[Winces and rubs the back of his head]

Ow! Sheena! I can't fly the shuttle off the ship if you give me a concussion!

[fujibayashi]

[Okay, he has a point. She huffs and crosses her arms, then settles down.]

And here I thought you couldn't get concussions with that hard head of yours.
