[She huffs again and turns away. She doesn't say anything for a minute or two, but it's not because she's ignoring him. She's trying to think of what to say. For her, it'd only been a day or two since she saw him, thanks to waiting around on the Marsiva.

... I hope things haven't been too hard for you.

[Oh, concern. That's always a bit of a weird one for him. He gives a little shrug as he starts getting this shuttle to fly]

....Not really. There's no war here, so this whole thing's already leagues better than the last place we were at. I mean, the food and liquor's terrible, but...it's not so bad.

And you'd be proud of me, I've only chased off two crewmates! [He even holds up a hand with two fingers up to show. See?? JUST TWO]

Considering we barely had food at the last place... but of course you're worried about the liquor.

[She stares at him for a moment, and then she snorts. (Very attractive.)]

Too high-maintenance for them, huh? I thought it'd be closer to like... five. You've gotten a little better with people, though, I'll give you that.

Why wouldn't I be? Alcohol's nice! But you're right, even if it's terrible, at least there's plenty to fill people's stomachs.

[Unlike in that moon base where he went without eating just to make sure his roommates had enough. That sucked]

Ha, why thank you. [Okay even he knows it's true] And I wouldn't say it was high maintenance! Like one of them? Kept touching me and prying into my romantic life. And when I said I didn't like that? She got pissed off and strongly suggested I get off the ship.

[fujibayashi]

[Yeah, Sheena had to smuggle food back from missions. That wasn't fun either.

She cranes her head around and stares though.]

Damn. When someone's annoying your personal space, I know it's bad.

[She pauses, then looks away again. Her voice is light.]

You... really turned her down? Even though I was gone?

Yeah, tell me about it.

[Annnd there's a pause at her words. He has to swallow the sting a little]

Well...yeah.

I know I have quite a history, but I'm not a cheater. [He wasn't going to be his dad, no matter what]

[fujibayashi]

[She shakes her head.]

It's-- it's not that I expect you to be one. I mean, your reputation back home was something else, but you're-- different, when you're with me.

You spent six months alone already and you might never have seen me again. That's a real risk. I'd like to say I wouldn't let that happen, but then...

[She trails off, not knowing entirely where she was going with this.]

... I'd understand if you hadn't waited. You can do whatever you want. I'll never try to drag you down, that's not what I'm about.

[He gives a sigh]

I wanted to wait, Sheena. I like you.

Just...get over the guilt thing about not being here right away, okay? Six months isn't that long.

[fujibayashi]

[Even though they've been dating FOR FUCKING MONTHS, that statement makes her blush intensely and she even does a mental sputter.]

[Make that physical too.]

I-I like you too. So... I'm going to do this, okay? [She squeezes his hand.] And this too.

[She leans in to kiss his cheek, since lips might be bad when he's driving.]

[Oh my goddess Sheena, that had to be the cutest thing ever. So cute it makes him smile and laugh- affectionately so!]

No fair, it's not like I can do anything back while I'm flying this thing!

[Oh no, he laughed. He rarely ever laughs like that and he certainly doesn't smile all the time. She wears a dumb smile on her face as she tries not to chuckle... and fails.]

That was kind of the point.

[He sighs melodramatically] Sneak.

Anyway, so I was thinking...going with a classic- so, have dinner and watch a movie? [At least, he's read somewhere it was a classic] I mean, I wasn't really sure what kind of movie you're supposed to watch, but we got enough movies that I'm sure we can pick something out.

[Since hey, apparently movie collections grow when you're bored out of your mind and stuck on a ship]

Sounds good to me. [She's never done the dinner and a movie thing before, but at least she knows what a movie is. Thanks, earth people.] ... You know, I don't think I've ever seen a movie before. Are there lots of different kinds, then?

[She's thinking in terms of plays, so like... romance, drama, comedy. That's it.]

Oh yeah, all sorts. [He's only seen a few, but it seems like there's a lot!] There's even an entire genre devoted to terrible and cheesy ninja movies.
