Well, what have you been doing? I mean, when people ask about you.

Do you mean when they ask who I am...?

[She shifts a bit on her bed as she considers this. ...She's been kind of a loner since she got here. Not too many people knew her, but when she introduced herself...]

I've just said who I am as always, and not much more than that. Seles Wilder.

[Slowly, she adds one more sentence before sending.]

It's a name I like to hold onto.

[Wilder... she means.]

[Hm. He thought that was it. He couldn't see Seles advertising that she's been in an abbey for a decade or more. But at that name thing...]

...Yeah. It's a good name.

[He misses sometimes being a Wilder. More than he misses being Zelos. But ah...really if he started worrying about dishonor, the cold hard truth was- his parents probably would've been happier if he WASN'T a Wilder]

You don't have to change your name for my sake. I've been using a different surname, but we're half-siblings so people probably won't question it too much.

[a pause]

There's only a couple people from our world here, so no one really knows who we are or our family's story. No one even seems to care all that much about being part elf either. Well, my roommate seemed to think elves were little creatures, but ah, he's an idiot anyway.

...I guess what I'm saying is, you could live however you want here.

[She could comment on a few things. That she wants to share as many things with him as she can, but that it doesn't matter all the same because she thinks they don't need it to be together. That she never says they're half-siblings to other people... That she met an elf who seemed to despise magic, and by some extension, her.

But all that stuff doesn't seem as important as getting something across right now.]

I don't care, as long as I can live with you.

[With him in her life...]

- Uh, I mean! Nothing against that, but my apartments pretty crowded! You wouldn't even get your own room- you'd either have to share it with me or two other girls or I'd have to kick Allen out.

[Because Allen is NOT sharing a room with his baby sister!! ]

I mean, not that I would have a problem with that either, but I'm not so rude as to invite myself over and kick your roommates out!

...I meant that I'd like to spend time with you more. As long as I have my brother here in this place instead of being kept away so far from him and never able to come along, then that's all I care about... Don't laugh.

[Oh. Okay. That...makes much more sense and is a relief. Because whew, after what she did to their living room his roommates would probably be less than eager.]

...I'm not laughing.

...Good.

[She's too embarrassed to add much more than that, and it's kind of a pouty response but... it's there. Because she wants to respond, even if she doesn't know what to say.]

[wilder]

[There's a pause on his end. Deliberating, swallowing fear. ]

Hey. Would you mind telling me where you are right now?

[It catches her off guard and she freezes right down to her heart. Because she's afraid too, along with plenty of other things. Embarrassed, happy, curious...]

I'm just in my room. Why?

[wilder]

Well, I was kinda hoping to use the info to come see you.

I mean, if that's okay.

[hiddendepth]

[She curls her knees to her chest at that, huffing just lightly at the way he seems to tease her for the question.

But it's nice to see that.]

Of course it is. I'm in 604.

Alright. [There's a pause here, hesitation. He half-expected to get a no for an answer. But come on...she's already come to his room a few times]

[Time to start learning how to face things]

I'll be there soon.

I'll be waiting.

[And standing up to leave her tablet on the bed, she focuses on making sure her clothes aren't too wrinkled or her hair messed up or her eyes too red or anything of that nature. That the place is clean, too...

She basically spends the whole time she's waiting fidgeting in various ways.]

[wilder]

[He meanwhile spends his own trip up there fretting in his mind. It's scary, taking initiative on things like this. What if he screws it up? What if this was a terrible idea? What if he actually did lose it and had just imagined that entire conversation with Seles]

[Not that he...usually imagines conversations but still]

[When he finally reaches the sixth floor and the door number, he finds himself hesitating again. Debating leaving, even]

[But...he already said so...he swallows, before lightly knocking on the door with the back of his hand]

[She's been kind of wondering how to greet him when he shows up. Talk about over-thinking. But... Should she be formal? Casual? What if she was too casual? Maybe they have to work up to that.

But every time, she always ends up the same way around him, so is all this thinking pointless? Maybe instead of relying on her words so much she should try something else...

It's at that thought that his knock meets her ears, and she stands up from her spot to move to the door. Her roommates are out somewhere, so she just opens it and looks to Zelos for a few moments.

...Before going with her earlier thought and a bit of instinct and just moving forward quickly to hug him.]

[wilder]

H-

[He had been spending that moment of staring trying to do his own awkward getting. A wave and a simple hello would probably be a good start or something right? ]

[But those thoughts are interrupted when she's suddenly hugging him. It's still as shocking as before, and there's a second of tensing- honestly it's not like he's ever hugged much unless he initiates it]

[but when that second passes? He'll reach around and return that hug. It feels even better than the hug she gave when she showed up. There wasn't some nasty secret waiting to spring up after all. He wasn't some failure that was posing as her brother. It was simply a hug for him]

[His own embrace is tight (not painfully so), and there's even a faint smile on him too. ]

...Hey Seles.

[It worked out so nicely. And maybe her heart's beating a million miles a minute at the nervousness lingering from it, but that calms in the comfort of him hugging back and she enjoys it for as long as she can get away with and feels normal before pulling back and letting him inside.]

Hello. [Now pulled back like this, the small smile on her own face is visible.]

How is your leg?

[wilder]

[This was really happening...it wasn't a hallucination. Somehow that is taking a few moment's to fully come to gripe with. Yeah, her heartbeat is rapid but it's not like his is that much better.]

[Not that he lets it shows, and he makes a small little heh sound as he comes inside]

Oh, it's good as new! No more crutches or brace.

That's good to hear. I'd have felt guilty if I'd made you climb so many stairs with a bad leg.

[Ahh, but she's really glad to hear it.]

My roommates aren't here right now... [That may be for the best, especially concerning one, she thinks!] So I've just shut their doors.

I'm more familiar with the city now, though. There are so many nice places to visit-- and that inhaler I was given really does help!

Hahaha...so I take it that means you haven't figured out the elevator yet.

Oh yeah? I'm glad to hear it- what places do you like?

Oh, but I enjoy a lot of the shops. Some of the restaurants are quaint as well.

Yeah. You know it's a transportation machine that lets you travel floor to floor.

[Heh...that's right, Seles has probably never really gone out shopping before has she]

Heh, quaint huh? You haven't received any trouble from the townspeople have you?

A transportation machine? How interesting... This place has so much that I've never even imagined!

[INHALERS AND ELEVATORS OH BOY. But at that last question, she hesitates, glancing around the room.]

They hardly seem friendly, but it's nothing that I haven't been able to deal with.
