Alright. [ he nods lightly. ]

[Super glad!! But he'll step away for a bit with the vials in hand and eventually return with a proper brace and some tylenol, setting it on the table next to Riku]

Okay, take off that wrap thing and hold out your arm for me.

Also, just so you'd know I'd normally offer someone alcohol while I do this, but apparently I'm not allowed to do that to someone under eighteen- so sorry, sucks to be you.

[ riku carefully pulls off the cloth wrap, bandages around the wrist following quickly. the bandages are tight around his wrist, keeping it in place, and it's not pretty below; it's obviously broken. at least the sharp slice of skin is healed, even if it makes for an ugly scar. ]

I'm not allowed until I'm twenty-one, so it's longer for me.

Seriously? That's stupid. Where I'm from we don't even have drinking ages.

[seriously you can give alcohol to the twelve year old character it's a lil disturbing]

But oh well I guess.

Now let's see...

[He frowns a bit at the rest and lightly feels around for the area of the break. It's very gentle, really.]

[Then when he finds the break, he wraps his hand around the wrist. There's a pause, but then he gives the wrist a simple squeeze. One that from an outside perspective, wouldn't even look like he's exerting much effort at all. No more effort than someone gives opening a water bottle.]

[Though the loud snapping sound of riku's bone? Probably gives a more accurate picture of how hard that squeeze was.]

[ he's not quite sure how kaneis is going to break it with that gentle grip--but he's grateful for it. he can feel it pulsing in weak pain even now, so when he actually wraps his hand around his wrist to break it, there's a flash of horror before pain comes crashing down, shooting up his arm and crashing down around his ears.

anyone who would undergo this would rightly scream or at the very least yell in pain, for a short moment. maybe longer. maybe there'd be cursing, even.

the yell that bubbles out of his chest is quietly stifled in a fluidity that seems rigidly practiced; he swallows it down like bitter medicine, squeezing his eyes shut and breathing in deep to further drown his muffled cry. ]

[If he feels bad, it doesn't show. Instead there's a mask of indifference as he gets to work, grabbing that brace and setting it nice and tight- making sure it'll heal right this time. ]

[When that's done, he pulls away and concentrates on magic. A white light glows around him for a moment before he releases the spell with a shout of "Heal!" The area around the wrist starts to to get white sparkly light all around it- healing it up. It doesn't heal it completely, but at least the pain dulls closer to how a broken bone feels after nearly a week of healing instead of a minute]

[ funnily enough, riku doesn't expect kaneis to feel bad. he did what he suggested and it seems to have worked... he can only hope that it does, and there's immediate relief as the magic works around his wrist, soothing it back into a dull ache. ]

[He shrugs as he goes to fill a paper cup with some water]

Don't worry about it.

However, I want you to take a couple tylenol every six hours to help with pain and swelling. In addition, you need to have full meals and anywhere from six to eight hours a rest a night. If your work tries to give you trouble, say it's healers's orders.

And yeah, come to the clinic once a day so I can further heal it. If I'm off, just give me a ring. We'll do blood tests to make sure there's no underlining problem with your hands shaking, but I'm willing to bet it's from not taking care of yourself enough.

[ a moment, and then... ]

What if I can't sleep that long? Not--not because of work, but...

Because of nightmares?

[ a sigh. looking away, ashamed; ]

[He watches him for a moment, before sighing and taking off something from his wrist. It looks to be some sort of ornate button tied up with string to make a bracelet. Like something a kid made]

[At the same time, if Riku can sense magic, it's definitely not a normal bracelet]

Here, you can borrow this for the week.

[ he stares blankly at it before looking at kaneis, both confused and wary. ]

What is it?

It's a charm bracelet. It's got magic that blocks nightmares, so you can get a peaceful night sleep.

[ he looks at kaneis for a good moment before looking down. he's not sure if he could do that. kaneis is wearing it for a reason, isn't he? ]

[He just smiles. Oh, he knows you're trying to be nice]

Well it's a good thing it's healer's orders and not an offer then, huh?

Nah, that'd be drugging you right now. But you see- my kind doesn't require sleep and I got a pretty busy week, so I don't need it right now. However you're a human that's both unwell and injured, so you need all the sleep you can get!

Though I will want it back as soon as the week's over, so you better take care of it!

[ uuuuugh this feels wrong and he bows his head a little, but--there's not much he can do against that reasoning. he rubs the back of his neck. ]
