We should probably fight outside of town. If people see us, they might get nervous. I need to practice my artes, so...

[And in about twenty minutes, Zelos can be found by the main path out of town from that way. He's got a sword strapped to his belt, as well as a small shield attached to his arm. He gives a lazy wave when he see Luke approaches]

[Luke straightens when Kaneis greets him. He grins brightly, thinking that it's been way too long since he hung out with someone who wasn't Tear or Asch. Tear was gone now, and Asch was grating sometimes even though Luke liked him a lot, so...]

[He quickens his pace a little, and comes to a stop not too far from the other redhead.]

Thanks for coming on such short notice. [He glances at the sword and shield.] Huh, I thought you were a healer.

[He smirks a little before he starts walking out of the town]

I've never seen someone with a sword use healing artes. [Theoretically Van probably could, but. Semantics. He walks just a step behind Zelos, still very much close enough for conversation.]

I wonder if I could learn how, too.

[wilder]

It's not very common, I'll give you that. [Yes but Van can also shoot lasers out of his magnificent eyebrows so he's hardly a fair judge of a person's potential.] And if it wasn't for the power boost the Initiative's weapon gives me, I'd be a much less effective healer.

And who knows. Fonons work differently from mana, I dunno how healing works with that besides it's some...special fonon.

Yeah. My weapon just makes me faster and stronger... I guess I wasn't that creative when I picked it. At the time, I didn't think I'd ever be able to use magic, so I didn't bother asking for it.

[Maybe that was a mistake.]

The Seventh Fonon, yeah. I'm... made of it. Asch casts all kinds of spells, so I'm not really concerned about my ability to learn those. I don't think he has healing artes, either.

[wilder]

[He shrugs] Don't sweat it too much, I didn't exactly ask for my weapon either. It just ended up working that way.

[Frankly, he'd get rid of it if he could. He regrets that after all this time, he still hasn't figured out the source of this technology.]

Hmmm...well, if you're made of it- might as well give it a shot. I mean there's some schools of thought that say you gotta have the right personality to have healing artes- but I never really bought into that anyway.

[Seeing how both him and Kratos are jerkwads...]

[chosenfake]

[It is a little weird that it's supposed to be sentient, but he doesn't have the kind of trauma about those things that Zelos and other Symphonians might.]

[That's something to think about.]

If that was true, then I'd be worried about how people managed to live this long. [He glances to the side.] Tear and Natalia can both be pretty cold.

[Yep it's so true. Let's face it, for all the problems Auldrant has it's pretty much a happy place next to Aselia.]

[He chuckles a little bit and glances over his shoulder]

Sorry, but I'm pretty sure coldness comes with the job. Believe it or not, I'm practically warm and fuzzy compared to the healers I knew back home.

[Luke makes a face. That's kind of a terrifying thought.]

Well... I guess if you take your hair into consideration, you kinda seem warm.

[He laughs]

I don't think hair counts as a personality trait, Luke.

I don't know. I used to be pretty awful to everyone. After I realized I had to change, I cut off all my hair. It used to be longer, like Asch's.

[Luke nearly trips.]
