[Thanks to encouragement from Hugo, Lycaon does end up delivering a gift (Hugo delivers it for him) to Zelos. He keeps it pretty simple--a versatile bucket with homemade candied dried winter melon put in a celophane bag and tied with a red ribbon.

I will be upfront about things. Hugo was the one who crafted your birthday gift and delivered it to you on my behalf. He told me about it recently and I wanted to make sure credit went where it was due. Then again...you probably already knew that.
I didn't know if you wanted a gift from me. I seem to say the wrong things often, and the idea of giving something incorrectly to you to further the divide felt daunting. But I was overthinking things, and needed the push to do this. So if you'll bear with me...
I've been privy to the information that you like melon, so I made candied winter melon for you. Please enjoy them and share them with your family.
The candle... I hope you do not laugh, but is your scent. It's not something that can be changed with perfume or cologne. This is just what you, Zelos Wilder, are. I am the only wolfman around these parts, so revealing something like this puts me in quite the vulnerable position, but it's just a little glimpse into how I perceive you that others may not.
As for the list of movies...They're ones I've been able to watch on my own time outside of movie nights. You are quite good at analysis, and while I'm not sure why you hide such sharp wit and intellect all the time, I'd like to discuss them with you. I do respect your opinion.
