[he's moving to the kitchen!]

Ten minutes!

[wolfchild]

[ no further response from the kidnappers. what could they be planning. poor curry. so sweet, so young, so clearly chasing a girl through snow. ]

[wilder]

[Poor curry, she suffers so. Arya is lucky that Zelos would rather make the sandwiches than actually chase them through the snow. And so about five to ten minutes later, the door opens up and out slips a basket full of sandwiches.]

[wolfchild]

[ curry reaches the basket first. rising on her hind paws, she balances on the basket and tries to poke her head inside. ]

No! [ arya scoops her up. ] Not for you! You have your own food.

[wilder]

[he scoffs]

Wow! You put her through the trauma of kidnapping and don't give her anything?

[wolfchild]

People kidnapped don't get anything. [ her tone is more matter-of-fact than anything. it's such a stupid point to bring up. ]

Here. [ arya kisses curry on the head before returning her. ]

[wilder]

[He'll take Curry, who seems more preoccupied with the fact there's a basket full of sandwiches nearby than she's been rescued]

Harsh.

This is good enough right? I'd hate for another kidnapping to happen.

[wolfchild]

I would have been glad of one.

[ she picks up the basket and sorts through the contents. ]

These are really all for me?

[wilder]

[He gives a little shrug]

Sure! Figured you must've been hungry.

[wolfchild]

[ she swings the basket lightly. ]

What were you doing?

[wilder]

Oh, just reading. As usual.

[wolfchild]

Reading what?

[ invite her to sit, man. so rude. ]

[wilder]

Oh, a book about vampires- Dracula?

[he never knows with kidnappers! Except he's getting cold being in the doorway]

Did you wanna come in? It's freezing out here.

[wolfchild]

I guess. [ she walks to the table and claims one of the chairs for her own. she removes one of the sandwiches to start eating. ] Is it good?

[wilder]

[he shuts the door, following after her]

Yeah, it's entertaining anyway. Someone gave it to me for Christmas.

[wolfchild]

Did you get a lot of things?

[wilder]

[He shrugs] I dunno. Some stuff. I don't really celebrate Christmas, so it's not like I know what the standard is.

[he'd ask about her, but guessing that she doesn't have many friends...let's not remind the kid of that]

[wolfchild]

Since you weren't expecting any, even something is a lot. [ js. ]

[wilder]

[he sighs] Alright, point. Then I got a lot.

Did you do anything for the holiday?

[wolfchild]

[ she stares at him blankly. ]

I shot a wolverine.

[ that's what he means right? ]

[wilder]

That's...festive. [NOT QUITE WHAT HE HAD IN MIND...]

[ she lifts an eyebrow at him. ]

I needed the fur. And Nymeria likes fresh meat. She hardly got any before.
