Notes/Headcanonish stuff?!
Cause you gotta love characters with alternate endings and vagueness yaaaay.
☼ Zelos in![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
paradisa is from the game path where he lives. I'm assuming we're going with the path where Lloyd talked to Colette in Flanoir, since that seems to be the most canonical one. So at the end of the game, Zelos was alive and went back to Meltokio.
☼ Zelos inexsilium is from the game path in which he dies (aka if you select the Kratos path). The Zelos sidequests that were available at the time were completed (aka the saving the Princess one, hot springs, etc).
☼ I accept the anime, manga, japan-only games and drama CDs as canon in regards to characterization and events not covered by the games. However Zelos's canon point is just at the end of the first game, so the two major drama CDs he's in hasn't happened for him yet, nor has reuniting with his sister like the manga showed. Sucks to be hiiiim.
☼ I know a lot of Zelos-players go with the headcanon that Kratos taught him to fight, but I'm not unless I get shown more canon evidence on it. If people ever ask him where he learned how to fight, he'll say he was trained in Meltokio since they do have knights there. Then again, who knows if that's the truth~? Frequent liars make things so much easier with retcon.
☼ As indicated, he has achieved angel status. I'm assuming it happened before he met Lloyd, but I'm not 100% sure and I have no idea when or how besides wacky Cruxis involvements. It's not a topic he's going to be willing to discuss the semantics about anyway.
☼ Angel status comes with the wings, super sight, super hearing and all those fun light spells. Because I have trouble accepting that there are no negative consequences to sticking an activated soul-sucking rock in your chest if you accessorize properly - it does affect his eating and sleeping habits. He can only sleep a few hours a night, and food portions for him are small (especially for a 22 year old guy of his size). Nothing alarming at a glance, but if someone choose to observe him for god knows what reason - it'd be a way to tell something is off about him (which for a character like Zelos- you need those red flags or he will just lie until judgement day).
It's up to my castmates to decide if this stuff applies to their angels - I don't care what you pick. If anything we can always say his keycrest is not as good of quality as theirs (he got angel status through Cruxis to be their spy- do you really think they cared about his well being enough to make a super good keycrest?). I mostly just am using this as possibly a potential way for people to catch him in his lieeees, since you know he's kinda- spying on EVERYONE with his enhanced senses like the douche he is and will only own up to it if forced.
☼ I have no idea if his aging is frozen or not, since it's hard to tell if he aged in DOTNW or the graphics are simply better. But since in Paradisa you don't age, this is a moot point that I will never have to address huzzah.
☼ Except now I'm inexsilium where they age. Dammit. I will say his aging is frozen there to save me worries about icons later.
☼ It's indicated in a z-skit that he used to wear glasses occasionally, which he claimed to use them to look at girls and suddenly "no longer needed them!". Most likely they were reading glasses and he stopped wearing them after getting angel vision. But if he's in ever in the Dead Zone or in a plot where he's depowered? He'll need them again.

☼ He's never dated Sheena. I'll leave it up to any Sheena mun to help figure out their past history, but I will say I will never treat it as they dated. Because Zelos was never emotionally stable enough to handle anything like a girlfriend or even want one.
☼ That being said as canon indicated, he does have a crush on her. Unfortunately he completely fails at actual feelings so it will be a looong time before he ever gets that one right.
☼ While he will flirt with any lady, he will never actually pursue anyone that is his sister's age or younger (15-16ish) - or appears that age. Partly because I can ICly see him rationalizing them as kids (since Seles is very much a kid to him!) and partly because I'm good not dealing with any potential legal issues here. Characters who are 17 will fall under a case by case scenario.
☼ He is heterosexual but not homophobic. Since the concept of "a homosexual" (or, the stereotypical personality traits and that its more than just people simply being attracted to their same sex) is something that was created on Earth during the Victorian period when they were going crazy diagnosing ALL people they saw deviant - he has no literal concept of what "gay" is or that wearing pink, acting effeminate or other things he does would come off as "gay things to do". I'm sure same-sex relationships and sex certainly happened in Tethe'alla and he's aware of them, but much like most of history- he'd probably view it as just some...weird quirk of the specific person much like he views people who date someone way different in age - not a defining trait that affects their entire personality/identity. Which overall other than stating he's not into that sort of thing (which is something you clarify when you're a...slut), he overall does not give a fuck.
If someone does try to explain what gay is and that he fits that criteria because of his behaviors or try to get him to think in that mind set, he will probably think you are either very crazy, very stupid or possibly both. Men hitting on him would probably just...stroke his ego rather than freak him out, even if he would not pursue it. Aw yeah, so hot even the men want him!
☼ He's an atheist, has been for years, but has no concept that there is a term called "atheist"- because in societies like his...not believing in goddess Martel is not really an option. Back home he still had to put on the face that he believes and practice. Discovering that term exists and that being an atheist is 100% socially acceptable, his reaction might look something like this.
☼ Will hate any sort of "Chosen one" system that worlds have, no matter how legit or necessary they are. It'd take a miracle to convince him otherwise. On that note, he'd probably be kinda protective of any character that is a "chosen one" that he befriends. Not so much in the sense of stopping them from fighting or freaking if they get cut (he knows you're all godmods) so much as- he'd want to protect from any sort of people who are simply trying to use/manipulate them because of their status. God forbid any of you turn out like him after all. :|b
